I’ve decided to write to you once a month — not a newsletter in the usual sense, but something personal: what’s happening in my practice, which projects are coming out, where I’m showing, what I’m thinking. Twelve letters — twelve months.
This is the first one, and it covers the last three months of my work. Thank you for opening it.

Why I’m writing
We met in person — at an exhibition, an opening, or a show. And I didn’t want it to stay at just one encounter.

Becoming the Unborn
Espronceda Institute of Art & Culture · Barcelona, December 2025
In December 2025 the exhibition opened — the result of a four-month international artist residency at one of Barcelona’s most prominent multimedia spaces, the Espronceda Institute of Art and Culture. The outcome: an XR-AI installation about the experience of losing stability in a world that changes faster than a person can adapt.
At its centre — a doll-embryo sealed inside a 19-litre bottle filled with a viscous substance. Putting on the VR headset, the viewer enters the interior perspective of the embryo: the gallery is seen through a dense, distorted environment. Four mannequins surrounding it embody different ways of perceiving reality — technological, corporate, natural, and human.

About me
Phygital & AI Artist. I work at the intersection where the physical object meets the digital image.
My name is Vladislav OSSSO. I live and work in Barcelona. My practice spans immersive XR installations, AI cinema, live performances, and large-format screen art. Artificial intelligence in my work is not a tool — it is a full co-author.
There is an intense debate today about whether AI-generated art is art at all. What I find truly fascinating is finding that boundary where the artist shifts from being a creator to being a co-author — depending on how you perceive artificial intelligence: as an entity you can interact and co-create with, or simply as an instrument. That question is at the centre of everything I do.

🏆 1st place · Visual Excellence Award — CapCut international AI video competition.
An audiovisual essay created alongside the electronic music project C.T.G. The film follows poet Leviy Helo as he drifts through lavish simulations in search of something real. Neither utopia nor dystopia — but the memory of a feeling that never existed.

Finalist — AI Design Awards
Palau Dalmases · Barcelona, 2025
Selected as a finalist for the AI Design Awards. As part of the ceremony at the historic Palau Dalmases, I created a live performance together with musician Pepe Luis and the generative AI krea.ai.
The AI improvised in real time, actively influencing the artistic outcome. The audience said it was the first time they had felt an emotional connection with an algorithm — to me, that is the highest compliment possible.

⚡ Just happened · ISE 2026
My work was presented at ISE 2026 in Barcelona
ISE — Integrated Systems Europe — is the world’s largest trade show for display technologies and AV systems: more than 70,000 specialists in screen technologies, immersive media, and digital signage.
In 2026, my work was selected to be shown at ISE in Barcelona — bridging contemporary AI art and the companies that manufacture the screens on which it comes to life. If you work with display technologies or immersive environments, this is exactly the kind of collaboration I’m interested in developing.
